Image HOW TO BUILD A REAL ESTATE EMPIRE was edited, designed, and produced for Marcus & Millichap, one of the largest commercial real estate brokerages in the world, based in Palo Alto. The company wanted a branded book that featured four clients who had built $100 million plus real estate portfolios. The company donates proceeds to charity and gives away copies to prospects and clients through its 850 individual brokers.
Image THE TEN TRUTHS OF WEALTH CREATION was rewritten, edited, designed and produced for John E. Girouard, a leading investment advisor in the Washington, DC market, one of the most competitive and lucrative in the nation. Girouard is using the book to drive the development of a new business of satellite offices with a unique, educational focus. The day after giving a copy of the book to a potential client, one of Girouard's colleagues reported it helped close an insurance sale that earned him an $8,000 commission.
Image STOLEN WITHOUT A GUN, CONFESSIONS FROM INSIDE HISTORY'S BIGGEST ACCOUNTING FRAUD is the first-person account of an MCI Worldcom finance exec who helped the company hide bad debt to prop up its stock price. Written with Forbes senior editor Neil Weinberg, author Walt Pavlo Jr. served two years in prison and has become a sought-after public speaker for accounting, law enforcement, and college audiences. We edited and reorganized the manuscript, designed, produced, and assisted the authors with distribution.
Image THE EYES DON'T SEE WHAT THE MIND DON'T KNOW was a collection of stories edited, designed, and produced for Atlanta physician Michael Litrel about his experiences working in an inner-city hospital, focusing on those dramatic moments when he was reminded that faith and human kindness are as important to healing as a doctor's care. Litrel has used the book as a marketing tool in his ob-gyn medical practice, donating the proceeds to charity.
Image SHADES OF DARKNESS was a draft manuscript that was rewritten and edited, designed, and produced for George Brummell, a retired Army Sergeant who'd written a colorful and poignant memoir about growing up black, being blinded in Vietnam, and learning to cope with racism and blindness as he evolved into a respected figure in the veteran community. He speaks at veterans hospitals and elsewhere, advocating for long-term care for wounded veterans.
Image STEVE IFSHIN is CEO of one of the largest shopping center investors and operators in the country, a real estate empire he built from scratch with his son. His memoir was researched and ghostwritten, designed with a unique cover to acknowledge a lifelong love of basketball, and the book describes his missteps and failures on the way to building a major real estate investment and management company. It was a legacy project requested by his family, but the book is proving useful in solidfying the company and family brand among existing and potential investors.
