About David Ready

Image DAVID READY is a researcher, writer, editor, and graphic designer for Prose & Pictures. He has been involved in the nonprofit sector for the past decade, as a teacher of journalism and writing, and as a communications and publishing expert.

Since 2004, he has been publications director for Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, a pioneering higher-education school originally founded for women before the Civil War, now co-ed. He is responsible for writing, editing, designing, laying out, and producing all of the school's print and web marketing, media, branding, and communications materials for an immediate audience of about six thousand.

He has also been publications director at Camp Dudley YMCA in Westport, New York, the oldest boys' summer camp in the U.S. (founded in 1885), consistently ranked in the top ten childrens' camps in the nation.

He earned his BA from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, where he was a radio journalist covering local politics and national figures including U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist, author Ken Kesey ("One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"), and Moral Majority founder Jerry Falwell.

He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
