In 2005, after six years as founder and executive director of a nonprofit writers resource center in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Winans began expanding the services offered by Prose & Pictures into producing books for independent publishers (self-publishing), and helping authors promote their work with op-eds, public speaking engagements, and Internet marketing.

In 2007, the company expanded again to provide a full range of services related to book-based branding and marketing. We work with clients in the development stage of their book projects, ghostwriting from scratch or editing existing material, conducting extensive additional research, and producing a professional manuscript.

Then we design, layout, and print the finished books, while arranging distribution through traditional channels including bookstores and online booksellers. At the same time we design and publish web sites to support the book marketing effort, and design and manage Google ad campaigns.

Finally, with the addition of marketing expert Walt Kuenstler, we work with clients to repurpose their book content for articles in mainstream and trade publications, web sites, blogs, and other marketing and branding outlets.
